Who's Better, Who's Best is a compilation of the Who's best-known songs, containing all of the familiar items - I Can't Explain, I Can See for Miles, Pinball Wizard, My Generation, Substitute - but presented without much care. The album is further plagued by the presence of some filler tracks that really don't deserve to be on any best-of. Who's Better, Who's Best is, however, in its finer moments, a decent compilation. The tracklist of Who's better Who's Best features almost all of the band's classic singles, although unfortunately sequenced in a random order. I always feel a compilation such as this works best when the sequence is chronological, allowing the listener to properly appreciate the band's development across the years. With that in mind, See Me Feel Me is certainly a weak link outside its original context of Tommy and consequently feels very out of place here, but I do remember around the time of this compilation's release that particular song was appearing regularly on a TV advert for hairspray or shampoo, so maybe that's why it was included.
