Hex Enduction Hour - The Fall. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. Hex Enduction Hour is the fourth studio album by the English post-punk band the Fall. Released on 8 March 1982, it builds on the low-fidelity production values and caustic lyrical content of their earlier recordings, and features a two-drummer lineup. Frontman Mark E. Smith establishes an abrasive Northern aesthetic built in part from the 20th century literary traditions of kitchen sink realism and magic realism. Smith described the album as an often-satirical but deliberate reaction to the. The Fall's fifth studio album from 1982. Side One 1. The Classical Mark E. Smith, The Fall - 2. Jawbone and the Air-Rifle Smith, The Fall - 5:15 Enduction Hour is a 1982 album by The Fall. It showcased a new two-drummer lineup, and the most accessible music they had yet produced. The music remained raw and noisy, but with a more pronounced melodic sense. The album was partly recorded in Iceland during the group's 1981 visit, with the remainder being completed in a disused cinema in Hitchin, England. Mark E. Smith told journalist Sandy Robertson that he had envisaged Hex as being the group's final album and that he would not have continued in music had this been the case. It occasionally features dual-drummer polyrhythms, simplistic but powerful Captain-Beefheart-meets-The Stooges guitar work, Sister Ray style keyboard riffage, tape-loop manipulation, and of course, the often imitated but never duplicated surrealistic and confrontational lyrics, and Mancunian-accented vocals of frontman Mark E. It all adds up to a sound that both defined and was on a completely different planet from post-punk. Hex Enduction Hour Q&A. Hex Enduction Hour. The group's most rhythmic album, thanks in no small part to the presence of two drummers Karl Burns and Paul Hanley, Hex Enduction Hour was recorded partially in Iceland with producer Richard Mazda. The percussion adds extra weight to the group's erformance, but the songbook does not add much to the Fall's legacy, with the exception of Deer Park which became a live favorite and Hip Priest.
