The Unknown Soldier and Hello, I Love You were the two singles released for the album. The recording of the album was notable as it was the first album marred by Jim Morrisons growing alcoholism. Despite this, it was a massive commercial success and it was their first album to reach number one on the Billboard 200. Hello, I Love You was also their first single to reach number one. With the exception of two songs, the material for this album was written after the band's initial songs from the formation of the group had been recorded for their debut album and second album, Strange Days. With the exception of two. Great album from The Doors, Waiting For The Sun is one of my reason being because my best loved single came from this album, Hello I Love You. Of course the rest of the disc is pretty damned good as well. You would love it. Waiting For The Sun offers a new perspective on the Band. a wonderful album, full of masterful lyrical and musical riffs, words, poetry and 'stuff'. The Doors third and too often underrated album.
