Talk Talk is one of the best bands ever and doesn't deserve to be forcefully interrupted with some bullcrap Talk. David Bowie Montreux Colour of Spring is the third studio album by English band Talk Talk, released in March 1986. Musically, The Colour of Spring was a major step away from the synthesised pop of early Talk Talk, with a greater focus on guitars, pianos, and organs on such songs as Life's What You Make It, Living in Another World and Give It Up. It had a sound described by the band as much more organic than their earlier records, with the improvisation that was to dominate on their later works already apparent. The Color of Spring was released in 1986 and marks the third studio album by Talk Talk. However - and this is a big however - singer Mark Hollis and producer-multi-instrumentalist Tim Friese-Greene had other plans. The Colour of Spring is the album most likely to satisfy all comers. The music often has a pulse Living in Another World and when it does stretch out on April 5th, Chameleon Day and Time Its Time, its with a sweetness that retains its connections to the pop-rock world the band would soon be leaving for ambient lands. With It's My Life, Talk Talk proved that they could pull off an entire album of strong material. With The Colour of Spring, they took it one step further, moving to a near-concept song cycle, following the emotional ups and downs of relationships and pondering life in general. Musically, they built on the experimental direction of the previous album with interesting rhythms, sweeping orchestration, complex arrangements, and even a children's chorus to create an evocative, hypnotic groove. This copy sounds good. Flat and silent vinyl. Well re-mastering in total. Beautiful album. ????
Gorgeous pressing, great! What else to say than worth having this reissue in the collection.

I wish all records would sound like this! Should be a cert' for any vinyl collection. Amazing!
This Talk Talk "Colour of Spring" pressing has absolute pristine sound quality; rich, textured, spacious, all audiophile adjectives you can enumerate. Dead quiet with no pops, clicks, etc. My copy came just perfect. Even the CD goes directly into my top 10 sound wise. Can't compare with the original pressing but I doubt it can outmatch this one. Buy with 100% confidence.system: Rega P8 + Dynavector XX-2 cartridge; Plinius; Sonus Faber Concerto
In my opinion the original pressing is clearer, I was quite disappointed with this reissue!
I purchased this album earlier in 2018 at an audio store, recommended as having "good sound". Not only did the overall quality of the LP/production/pressing impress, but the MUSIC was way more sophisticated than I remembered it...I subsequently went out and purchased all the Talk Talk's albums I could find over the next few weeks. Great Band! So glad I rediscovered them and have since spread the word to others...
