The Height of Callousness is the second album by the American industrial metal band Spineshank. It was released on October 10, 2000 by Roadrunner Records. The title is taken from a phrase in A Clockwork Orange. 5 stars out of 5 but praised the band's energy, saying that The Height of Callousness is a super-charged silver bullet of 11 aggressive tracks that will get your blood flowing as if you're engaged in a stock car race gone haywire. CMJ described the album as: Machine. The Height of Callousness - Spineshank. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей. Spineshank is a Los Angeles, CA, USA Grammy-nominated alternative metal band. Began in February of 1996, rising from the ashes of a previous band, Basic Enigma which included future Spineshank members Jonny Santos on vocals, Mike Sarkisyan on guitars, and Tom Decker on drums. Basic Enigma broke up but soon reformed with a different sound and moniker, and a new bassist Robert Garcia. Spineshank's 2001 release, The Height of Callousness, is a super-charged silver bullet of 11 aggressive tracks that will get your blood flowing as if you're engaged in a stock car race gone haywire. Each of the turbo-boost tracks on this album is chock full with a cause or reasons to get fired up about. Songs in album Spineshank - The Height Of Callousness 2000. hopefully MOV will release this album on vinyl. Good album.
New Disease is a cool song.. the other 10 sound like extremely average early 2000s radio metal. Don't dig em as much. This isn't bad per se, just very.. unremarkable.
I have a promo copy of "The Height of Callousness" on CD. I can't remember why, but I remember really wanting to hear this, like 18 years ago. The copy I bought on eBay turned out to be a promo, it even states, NOTE : Not Final Master. Making me curious to how different the official, retail release sounds. I see this band doesn't exactly have a huge or cult following but was curious if anyone else has heard this promo/early master. I guess it would be pretty simple to just download a copy of the album... Honestly I don't listen to alot of really heavy music like this or the other bands that were allover the radio and MTV in the late 90's/early 00's, but I remembered liking this album. So I looked through my ridiculous pile of CDs and found it. Listening right now for what must be the first time in atleast 15,16 years, heavy but polished, really good sound... ofcourse this is the guy who produced "Rage Against The Machine". There are some surprisingly "pretty" choruses here and there that help separate the album from the other nu-metal stuff, as do some of the electronic touches P.S. I think I got this after a brief love affair with the self-titled Slipknot album and this was suggested to me.

Cmon now, but harsh.I don’t know if I’m biased as I loved this when it was released - still holds up extremely well to this day. There really isn’t a bad song on the album. Can’t wait till it finally gets released on vinyl (one day - assuming MOV is planning on releasing all Spineshank releases)
