Entry level it is not. Like its highly regarded, slower, and slightly less-focused predecessor, Pure Holocaust, Battles in the North is a furious, somewhat under-produced, unrelenting assault of blastbeats, demon-reptile vocals, and buzzing guitars assembled for one reason only: to unleash the misbegotten souls of frozen Norwegian landscapes into glorious battle against all things remotely commercial or accessible, taking no prisoners. Perfect quality! Super quiet! The white marble looks perfect! !

The vinyl itself is gorgeous, with nice center labels. The audio quality is what you would expect from a 90's black metal album. The gatefold is really nice and glossy. The song title order is completely wrong on the back cover though. The songs are not on the center labels so to figure out the correct order of the songs you'll wanna consult your lyrics in the gatefold. I put little pieces of masking tape beside the titles with the actual track #s on em on the back of the album on my outersleeve that I house the album in to protect it WOOOOOAH BLIND & MIGHTY RAVENDARK!!! m/
