ERIC CLAPTON - 30 ANOS DE MUSOCA ROCK 461 OCEAN BOULEVARD

Notes

Part of a string of pressings issued by Encyclopaedia publishers 'Salvat', in the Eighties, in Mexico.
Uder the banner, '30 anos de musica rock' (30 years of Rock Music), these pressings were approved by the artistes' respective labels, and
the tracklisting was, typically, a mix of low and high profile tracks, b-sides, unreleased tracks, etc...OR SOMETIMES, as is the case here, studio albums in this instance '461 Ocean Boulevard'

These records are a true delight, and the sound quality is good. I personally have a few of them and truly recommend them.

The album topped various international charts and sold more than two million copies. 461 Ocean Boulevard is Eric Clapton's second studio solo album, arriving after his side project of Derek and the Dominos and a long struggle with heroin addiction. Although there are some new reggae influences, the album doesn't sound all that different from the rock, pop, blues, country, and R&B amalgam of Eric Clapton. However, 461 Ocean Boulevard is a tighter, more focused outing that enables Clapton to stretch out instrumentally. Alternative Rock. BlackDeath MetalHardcore. Folk Rock. Gothic Metal. Grunge Rock. Название альбома приходит после аренды дома, в котором жил Клэптон во время записи альбома 461 Ocean Boulevard в городе Golden Beach, штата Флорида. Eric Claptons new album teeters precariously on the very edge, flirting with, but in the nick of time always just skirting, dullness. Its a tribute to Claptons charisma and talents that 461 Ocean Boulevard doesnt succumb to the danger Clapton courts by playing unobtrusively with an unimpressive band. Still, its a close call, too close for comfort. 461 shies away from the rich sonorities and lyrical, flowing lines that made Clapton an unhappy superstar. So determined is he to break from his past that frequently he plays dobro instead of guitar
