He has collaborated with artists such as Herbie Hancock, La Toya Jackson and Johnny Kemp. Me and my cousin used to mess around DJing and were big fans of Boyd Jarvis starting from around 1980 which was about the first time I heard Stomp. The first time I heard it it was an emotional experience. I once had a cassette, had to be 1980 or 81, Boyd and Timmy live WBLS and the entire one side was Stomp. Boyd was going off, the tape ran out. Jarvis also known as The Jarvis Cocker Record is the debut solo album by Pulp vocalist and musician Jarvis Cocker, released in the UK on 13 November 2006. THAT Music Got Me :D
for those that are not as educated - check out Visual http://www.discogs.com/artist/27330-Visual"the music's got me" prettyface was referring to!
Damn this is amazing. Someone put this out in a manner that does it justice.
woow! nice!
shittiest mastering, adds to the mystique
I doubt this has been mastered at all. I think it was revived straight from a 15 years old, dusty reel and then put on wax.The track is at a very low volume level, highs are suppressed and you can clearly hear the background noise from the tape recorder.
hypno-rickshittiest mastering, adds to the mystiqueEither it's an unofficial release or mastered shittily on purpose.
This track is based on "Visual - The Music Got Me" (1983).
It's actually the other way around. This is a reissue of "Stomp" which was made in 1980, 3 years before the Visual release.
dmpThis track is based on "Visual - The Music Got Me" (1983).Actually "The Music Got Me" is based on this. They made this track sometime around 1980 or 1981.
